Route Planning
Our Route Planning team will take a client's objectives from conceptual ideas to
a hard line on the ground by identifying those financial and legal opportunities
or restrictions affecting a proposed site. The services we offer are:
- Advice on route restrictions imposed by statutory designations such as
SAMs, SSSIs, SACs, SPAs, RAMSAR site and non-statutory designations
including SINCs and Country Wildlife sites.
- Construction management through provision of plans with overlaid aerial
photographs, topographical details, public highways and information
resulting from hydrological surveys.
- Desktop studies to evaluate local plans and their effect on the
potential value of land affected or crossed.
- Highlighting areas of adverse impact on the environment, landscape,
geographical features, inland waterways, agricultural/forestry use and
socio-economic factors.
- Preparation of target costs and budgets associated with permanent and
temporary damages accruing from proposed route variations.
- Utilisation of GIS databases to store and collate spatial information.
